Which Came Last…

The Easter or the egg?

I ask because Bunny Day seemed utterly endless this year. The festivities–for us, at least–stretched over six days; MJ attended a total of five (!!) egg hunts. All but one of which supplied her with monstrous amounts of candy. Most of which is now rotting in the back of our kitchen, thank God.

All that’s left now are the hard-boiled, hand-dyed eggs, of which we have exactly three. They will get eaten for breakfast every day through the end of the week by my conscientious husband. He hates to see food wasted.

As for me, I’ve seen enough eggs to last me a lifetime. Or at least a year.

And for breakfast? I’m fine with toast.
